Funding from the Borough Council Community Infrastructure Level has been received to help fund an outdoor area on the green where the former football pavilion was.  We propose an open wooden (oak) structure supporting a pantile roof (to stay in character with the Memorial Pavilion) under which would be located several heavy duty recycled plastic picnic benches with wheelchair access. The area would also be ‘greened’ with the planting of some new trees and climbers.

Additionally, as this area is adjacent to Back Lane, we would hope to provide improved wheelchair access from the roadside at a later date.  This feature is hoped to encourage a safe meeting place for residents to meet up and enjoy the surroundings.  It is hoped that the area will be completed by next autumn.

​The Parish Council are keen to ensure hedging and grassed areas will be re-planted where possible and hope to have more green planting in and around the area.
