Avian flu latest November 2025 from Norfolk County Council:

The NHS website explains what Avian flu (bird flu) is.

Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) is in an avian influenza prevention zone (AIPZ). This means all bird keepers in Great Britain (whether they have pet birds, commercial flocks or just a few birds in a backyard flock) are required by law to take biosecurity precautions.

GOV.UK has the latest situation in England for avian flu. This includes what biosecurity rules bird keepers must follow to prevent avian flu.

Avian flu is not connected with coronavirus (Covid-19).

If you wish to report breaches of bird flu rules, please email us at trading.standards@norfolk.gov.uk. Read our privacy notice to find out how we use your personal information.

On 4 November highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in a large commercial poultry premises near Wells-Next-The-Sea.

A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.

From 6 November 2025, mandatory housing measures that were already in place in Norfolk are extended to the whole of England.

Links to government updates are available on the county council’s trading standards web pages here.

NOTE: The new terms of letting includes section 8 which covers the payment of rent but not the specific cost or deposit. The reason behind not including the amount of deposit or rent amount was that these elements are reviewed each year and we  really do not want to issue a complete new terms of letting each year if the rent or requirement for deposit changed.

If you are interested in a plot, please contact the parish clerk – clerk@southcreake-pc.gov.uk.  If no plots are available at the time of interest, we will put you on the waiting list.
